I personally am an avid fan of video games, so I wanted to create something related to my passions. An AR exhibition came to mind as I wanted a way to show audiences the history of the games industry, particularly relating to entertainment systems. There are multiple AR apps for different purposes nowadays, and museums take advantage of the technology as well, with various exhibitions that use it for their audiences. Doing research into interactive exhibitions within museums then led me to think about accessibility options for those who might be unable to physically go to museums. My conclusion was then an AR app that would then allow displays and showcases to pop up in one’s own room at their leisure, leaving them the solace to experience the presentation themselves.
